A Chinese trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM the updates on local PE and PP prices in the country as of May 15. Compared to the price list received on Wednesday, May 13, local PE and PP prices moved in different directions. Local PE across all grades maintained stable, except for LDPE Film 2420D decreased by CNY100/ton ($14/ton). For PP, offers for BOPP, PP Impact Copolymer, and most grades of PP Homo Raffia dropped between CNY100-200/ton ($14-28/ton), except for PP Homo Fiber went down drastically by CNY900/ton ($126/ton). In contrast, some grades of PP Homo Injection increased by CNY500/ton ($70/ton) as compared to the same period.
