As SSESSMENTS.COM noted, Vietnamese buyers boldly bidded LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer as deal levels for Middle Eastern cargoes within the Asia market were mostly far below the producer’s offers. This week, some Vietnamese players reported receiving offers for LLDPE Film C4 from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer at $940/ton on LC at sight, CIF Main Port basis. Considering the high prices, the players decided to place bids for the cargoes at $860/ton-level, or $80/ton lower than the producer’s offers. Compared to the bid submitted in the prior month, the current bid levels were between $20-30/ton lower.
According to SSESSMENTS.COM’s pricing database, this week’s offers for import LLDPE Film C4 from several Saudi producers surfaced with an increase of between $10-50/ton and the prices ranged between $900-960/ton. Speaking of deals, the majority of deals for Middle Eastern LLDPE Film C4 within the Asia market were concluded at below $900/ton-level. In China, a trader managed to conclude deals for Saudi LLDPE Film C4 at $830/ton; which is similar to the initial offer level. In India, market talks have it that deals concluded at $810-820/ton on LC at sight, CIF Nhava Sheva Port.
Whereas in Southeast Asia, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that import offers for Qatari LLDPE Film C4 cargoes emerged at the similar level to the players’ bids for the leading Saudi polyolefins producer’s cargoes; $860/ton on LC at sight, CIF Main Port basis with deals concluded at the initial offer level. Particularly in Malaysia, a converter received offers for Saudi LLDPE Film C4 at $870/ton, or $40/ton higher than last month’s level with deals concluded at $40/ton lower than the initial offers. Moreover, an Indonesian converter managed to close deals with a Qatari producer for LLDPE Film C4 at $865/ton, or $10/ton lower than the initial offer level.
