A Vietnam-based trader told SSESSMENTS.COM that the Vietnamese buyers are waiting for further market developments after the latest import offers surfaced. This week, a Saudi producer releases offer for PP Homo Raffia at $850/ton, a reduction of $10/ton from last week’s level. This offer is regarded as quite high by the trader, and most buyers are unwilling to take the cargoes citing that the prices will move even lower in the near term.
For PE, the leading Saudi polyolefins producer decided to roll over PE offers from last week since the producer has sold out June shipment allocation. The trader also informed SSESSMENTS.COM that a Thai producer offers HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 at $820/ton, while LDPE Film cargoes at $910/ton. Compared to last week, the producer adjusted up their offers by $10/ton across all grades following the firm international market prices. All import offers above are on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port Basis.
