A Vietnamese PVC producer has announced its June delivery offers and shared with SSESSMENTS.COM that the company is ready to cater to rising demand for local materials. For June delivery, the producer’s offers are available at VND16,800,000-17,500,000/ton ($721-751/ton) on 15 days credit term, FD Vietnam basis and excluding 10% VAT. The offers are up by VND1,000,000/ton ($42/ton) from May delivery. To date, the producer has managed to close some deals at the same level to the initial offers.
The producer shared with SSESSMENTS.COM that PVC demand in Vietnam remains stable, which is typical in peak season. The market has not yet been affected by the rainy season, whatever will arrive within the next two months. The exciting thing now is that converters prefer absorbing local PVC cargoes rather than taking imports citing the unclear pricing outlook for July shipment.
With no issues on supply and their plants running at full capacity, the producer is ready to support demand. The producer source then told SSESSMENTS.COM that the uncertain outlook did not encourage speculation as market players in a better position to take a wait-and-see stance.
