A Vietnamese trader foresees a positive outlook for PE and PP market following customers’ responses. In terms of prices, the offers for import PP Homo Raffia of Saudi and South Korea origin captured stable on a weekly comparison. For HDPE Film cargoes from the leading Saudi polyolefins producer, the offers increased by $20/ton while the offers for LLDPE Film C4 are kept stable from last week. The trader added to SSESSMENTS.COM that the offers for HDPE Film of Thailand and South Korea origin are available at $800/ton and $780/ton respectively. Additionally, the offers for Indian HDPE Yarn and US LLDPE Film C4 captured at $740/ton and $720/ton respectively. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis.
Similar to the trader’s prediction, demand for both PE and PP in Vietnam is slightly improving this week, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. As such, customers are gaining confidence and willing to take more cargoes. Considering the current situation, the trader foresees an increment for both import PE and PP prices in the days to come. However, the increases for PE price is predicted to be higher than PP.
