NewsSSESSMENTS: Vietnamese Trader Shares Acceptable Level For Import PP Offers, Foresees Potential Change In Import PE Price Trend

Author: SSESSMENTS

A Vietnamese trader shared with SSESSMENTS.COM the acceptable level for import PP offers and opinion on the potential change in import PE price trend. Compared to a fortnight ago, offers for import Saudi PP Homo Raffia cargoes to the Vietnam market were stable. While import PP Homo Raffia offers of Thailand origin decreased by $45/ton compared to last week. Despite the reduction, buyers are unwilling to make procurement as the offers remain unworkable. At the moment, import PP offers around $1,000/ton-level cannot be accepted by buyers.

For PE, market talks have it that offers for import Middle Eastern LLDPE Film C4 cargoes to Vietnam have dropped to $885/ton-level from $900/ton-level in the previous week. While for HDPE Film of the same origin, the trader heard offers at $940/ton. All on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. Other than that, the trader also heard a rumour that some Chinese traders planned to re-export LLDPE Film C4 cargoes to Vietnam market as domestic PE prices in China started to decline. As such, import PE offers expected to decrease rapidly in the days to come, the trader told SSESSMENTS.COM.
