Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that China’s Jiangsu Sailboat Petrochemical Co Ltd experienced an unplanned shutdown at its methanol-to-olefins (MTO) plant. The MTO plant located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, China, was shut on July 17 due to technical issues. The plant with a production capacity of 360,000 tons/year of ethylene and 470,000 tons/year of propylene is scheduled to remain offline for three weeks.
