A source with knowledge of the matter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that Japan’s Maruzen Petrochemical Co., Ltd has restarted its naphtha cracker. As noted, the producer’s naphtha cracker resumed production on July 12, following turnaround maintenance started on May 11, 2020. Located in Chiba, Japan, the cracker unit has a production capacity of 525,000 tons/year of ethylene and 280,000 tons/year of propylene.
