Market sources with knowledge of the matter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) plans to shut its no.3 cracker unit in Mailiao, Taiwan. As informed, the cracker with a production capacity of 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene and 600,000 tons/year of propylene will be shut in mid-August for about 6 weeks of maintenance.
