PlantsSSESSMENTS: Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical Shuts Naphtha Cracker For Turnaround Maintenance

A source from Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has shut its naphtha cracker for turnaround maintenance. As stated, the cracker has been under turnaround maintenance since May 9 and is expected to be back on-stream at the end of June 2020. Located in Kashima, Japan, the cracker can produce 540,000 tons/year of ethylene and 270,000 tons/year of propylene.
