Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that Sichuan Petrochemical, part of PetroChina Company Limited, has halted operations at its HDPE unit for an unplanned shutdown. As noted, the unit was shut on July 16, 2020, but the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained. Located in Pengzhou, Sichuan Province, China, the HDPE unit has a production capacity of 300,000 tons/year.
