According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the total imports of PE have risen by around 70k tons in December compared to the previous month, at around 1.53 mil tons.
The top 5 import origins of PE to China in December were Saudi Arabia (344,835 tons), Iran (248,814 tons), United Arab Emirates (141,229 tons), South Korea (112,039 tons) and Singapore (86,927 tons). The increase in import volume of Saudi Arabia PE in December was the highest compared to other origins, at about 7,316 tons compared to November.
For HDPE, the total import quantity has increased by around 29k tons in December compared to the previous month, at around 738k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in December were Saudi Arabia (192,246 tons), Iran (148,282 tons) , United Arab Emirates ( 86,845 tons), South Korea (68,962 tons) and India (47,639 tons).
For LDPE, the total import quantity has surged by around 10k tons in December compared to the previous month, at around 306k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in December were Iran (63,753 tons), Saudi Arabia (46,733 tons), Qatar (29,751 tons), South Korea (23,699 tons) and the United States (17,331 tons).
For LLDPE, the total import quantity has grown by around 30k tons in December compared to the previous month, at around 482k tons. The top 5 import origins to China in December were Saudi Arabia (105,857 tons), Singapore (75,681 tons), Thailand (66,902 tons), Iran (36, 780 tons), and the United Arab Emirates (27,905 tons).
