United States PE February Exports to SEA Stats - Reported by the U.S.
According to the United States Census Bureau, U.S. PE exports to SEA have declined by around 15.8k tons compared to the previous month, at around 110k tons. Nevertheless, while U.S. PE exports to most SEA markets have reduced, Vietnam was an exception with exports of PE showed an increase of around 4k tons.
For LLDPE, total U.S. exports to SEA have shrunk by around 10.1k tons in February compared to the previous month, at around 78.9k tons. Among SEA markets, Malaysia had the biggest volume of 35,049 tons, followed by Singapore with exports totalling around 25,469 tons. The third-largest export market for the U.S. LLDPE was Vietnam with 12,465 tons. Exports to Thailand and Indonesia were relatively lower at 1,382 tons and 1,225 tons respectively. Meanwhile, LLDPE exports from the U.S. to the Philippines were 1,197 tons while Cambodia with 319 tons was the smallest market for U.S. origin LLDPE.
For HDPE, total U.S exports to SEA have dropped by around 4.7k tons in February compared to the previous month, at around 24.5k tons. Among SEA markets, Vietnam was the top export destination for U.S. HDPE at 11,367 tons. This is followed by Malaysia and Singapore at 5,939 tons and 5,433 tons respectively. Exports to the Philippines were at 1,029 tons, while Thailand and Indonesia recorded 664 tons and 25 tons respectively. Cambodia again was the smallest market for U.S. origin HDPE with 14 tons.
For LDPE, total U.S exports to SEA have decreased by around 1.2k tons in February compared to the previous month, at around 6.7k tons. Vietnam (2,218 tons) was the biggest market for the U.S. LDPE in SEA, followed by Singapore with 2,178 tons. The third-largest SEA market for the U.S. origin LDPE was Malaysia with 1,132 tons. Thailand and the Philippines recorded 741 tons and 439 tons respectively.
