"Europe is now bound to buy the US liquefied natural gas at bloated prices," Dmitry Peskov noted
According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on October 13, 2022, Europe has actually no opportunity to receive cheap and reliable Russian gas after terrorist acts at Nord Stream pipelines and has to purchase liquefied natural gas from the US at bloated prices, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
"Terrorist acts occurred. Europe actually has no opportunity - even if it has to do so - to buy our gas, which is the cheapest and the most reliable. Europe is now bound to buy the US liquefied natural gas at bloated prices," Peskov said.
On September 26, unprecedented damage was reported on three lines of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 offshore gas pipelines. Swedish seismologists later reported that two explosions had been recorded along the pipeline routes.
