AlwaysFree: Abraj, Energy Development Oman (EDO) Collaborate To Advance Onshore Oil And Gas Services

According to Zawya article published on February 1, 2023, Abraj Energy Services SAOG (under transformation) Oman's leading provider of oil and gas field services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Energy Development Oman (EDO) to develop services related to oil and gas extraction operations.

The partnership will see Abraj provide an expanded range of services to EDO's affiliates, including Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), further strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two entities. The MoU was signed by Eng Saif al Hamhami, CEO of Abraj Energy Services and Eng Mazen bin Rashid al Lamki, CEO of EDO.

With the aim to ensure the long-term, sustainable security and supply of energy-related services in Oman, the collaboration serves to boost the contribution of national drilling champion Abraj to the country’s oilfield services sector, as well as encourage the implementation of alternative energy solutions.

Eng Saif al Hamhami; CEO of Abraj Energy Services, added, "Abraj has a 16-year service legacy in Oman, and we are delighted to take our partnership with EDO to new heights. We continue to explore and build upon our solutions to offer our clients best-in-class services and this agreement aligns with Abraj's strategy to enhance its market position within the drilling sector and capitalize on new opportunities underpinned by sustainable and cleaner operations.”

Energy Development Oman’s strategy aims to achieve in-country efficiencies and pursue new growth opportunities within Oman's energy sector, with a vision to achieve growth through global partnerships and create a sustainable future for energy in the Sultanate of Oman. PDO, EDO's largest affiliate, serves as Oman's largest oil and gas exploration and production company and is Abraj's largest client.

Mazin al Lamki, CEO of EDO, said, "We are pleased to partner with a national champion such as Abraj on a project that will serve to add to the Sultanate’s rich natural reserves, strengthen our energy security and co-create employment opportunities domestically.
