American Chemical Council (ACC) said that the US chemical production went down slightly in February.
The US chemical production regional index (CPRI) fell by 0.2% last month, after gaining by 0.1% in January. Year-on-year, the CPRI slumped by 1.8%, the ninth month in a row for a fall. Output fell in all regions aside from the Gulf Coast.
The February data did not show the impact of shutdowns and demand decreases due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.
Manufacturing activity was unmoved in the three-month moving average (3MMA) basis.
