An agreement to purchase the assets of Tehe Engineering Plastic (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and NCM (Changshu) Co., Ltd. has been signed by Ascend Performance Materials. Ascend’s decision gives the company a flexible footprint for growth in China.
With a focus on existing applications in the automotive, electrical and electronics, and consumer and industrial areas, the company’s master plan includes a global research and development center, besides the expansion of compounding assets at the site. Ascend’s president and CEO said the acquisition enables the company to support future market growth as well as to better facilitate supply to customers in Asia.
