ALPLA Group acquires a significant minority share in Panara, a Slovak manufacturer of fully bio-based and biodegradable plastics.
For packaging converter ALPLA, the deal will step up its presence in sustainable raw materials as Panara has a lot of experience in the area of bio-based plastics.
Christian Zmölnig, director of corporate research and innovation at ALPLA, commented, “As a technology leader in the area of packaging materials, we engage in ongoing work with partners to develop new raw materials that will minimize carbon dioxide emissions as well as resource consumption.”
