AlwaysFree: ALPLA Invests for rPET Plant in Italy

Author: SSESSMENTS

The ALPLA Group, a manufacturer of plastic packaging and recycling specialist, invests in an extrusion system for food-grade recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) made of used PET bottles on its Anagni, Italia, site.

The investment is worth more than EUR5 million (USD6.07 million) to install an extrusion system for 15,000 tpa of rPET at the existing site. The facility would go online in the second half of 2021.

To accommodate the upcoming plant, ten new jobs would be added to the existing 91 workers at the Anagni facility which currently processes about 50,000 tpa of PET.
