Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) plans to restart a crude unit at its 310,000 bpd Kochi refinery in southern India by the end of this month, a company official said. The crude unit has a capacity of 200,000 bpd and has been under a three-week maintenance shutdown. The state refiner also plans to conduct maintenance for a continuous catalytic reformer at its Mumbai refinery for three weeks starting from August 1.
Earlier this month, BPCL restarted a 156,000 bpd crude unit at its Bina refinery in central India after being shut for three-week routine maintenance starting from the second week of June. The Bina refinery ran at about 60% of capacity last month, government data showed.
