Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem will offer a credit line to its Brazilian clients affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The credit line amounts nearly $200 million and will be available for 60 days starting in April. Each client can access up to $120,000 and can be used to purchase caustic soda, plastic resins, and specialty chemicals.
Braskem on Friday said that the measures are targeted to its clients who have lower credit capacity to provide them with greater flexibility in billing terms. According to Edison Terra, Braskem's VP for olefins and polyolefins in South America, customers who struggle with low demand and are producing more plastic products to combat the pandemic can benefit from the program.
