According to the company’s website press release on April 7, 2023, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia Derivatives”) will be opened for trading for the morning session only on Friday, 21 April 2023 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. There will be no trading in the afternoon session.
The timing of the trading phases on 21 April 2023 will be as per the table below
The office of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, however, will remain open in the afternoon of 21 April 2023.
Reference to Business Day
Even though the trading hours have been shortened as mentioned in paragraph 1, all references to “Business Day” in the Rules of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives for the purpose of trading on 21 April 2023 will be treated as one (1) Business Day ending in accordance with the modified trading hours above.
CLOSURE OF THE EXCHANGE FOR HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI
Bursa Malaysia Derivatives will be closed on Monday, 24 April 2023 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays and will resume business on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.
As the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday is subject to confirmation, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives will update the industry should there be any changes to the declared date.
