Crude oil production in China increased to 16.46 million tons or 1.3% year-on-year in May from 0.9% year-on-year in April, official data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
In the month of May, China has processed approximately 57.9 million tons of crude oil, up by 8.2% year-on-year. Data from January-May 2020 showed the crude oil output risen 1.9% year-on-year, or about 80.9 million tons while processed 261.39 million tons of crude oil, a slight decrease of 1% from the previous year. China's import of crude oil also up by 19.2% year-on-year to approximately 47.97 million tons of crude oil.
