- CMA CGM regrets to inform you that due to the earthquake that sadly hit Türkiye and the neighbouring area on Monday 6 February 2023, the port of Iskenderun, Türkiye is impacted and lead to its closure for an undetermined period of time, CMA CGM is obliged to divert your cargo to Mersin.
According to the company’s website news release on February 7, 2023, while such event is beyond the control at CMA CGM, the company propose, in accordance with clause 10 of the CMA CGM’s bill of lading and the legal provisions governing transport, the following solutions:
Option 1: Discharge in Mersin and delivery of the container in Mersin instead of Iskenderun.
Option 2: Discharge in Mersin and Intermodal transport from Mersin (carrier haulage) to the place of your choice.
Such solution is subject to the availability of evacuation solutions.
CMA CGM deeply apologizes for any disturbances caused by such situation and encourage the Customers to take delivery of their cargo in MERSIN as soon as possible.
