The US Chemical Safety Board (CSB) has sent a team to conduct an investigation into the explosion at a chemicals plant in Belle, West Virginia, that occurred last week. According to the federal agency, specialty chemical maker Optima Chemical operates the site that it leases from Chemours. Television news network CNN reported that the blast killed one person and injured two others who have been treated and released from a nearby hospital.
