For the creation of gas processing complex in the Leningrad region, a number of contracts have been signed by Gazprom. The contracts include a chemical facility as well as an integrated gas processing and liquefaction plant.
A 20-year commercial contract entered by RusGazAlyans – a 50-50 joint venture between Gazprom and RusGazDobycha. The supply of feedstock will be provided by Gazprom. The integrated complex will be operated by the company. With 45 Bcm/y of ethane-containing natural gas, RusGazAlyans will be supplied by Gazprom, under the deal.
RusGazAlyans also signed another agreement with Baltic Chemical Complex. The deal, valid for 20 years, covers the supply of ethane fraction for further processing at a gas chemical facility.
With a liquefaction capacity of 13 million tonnes per annum, the Ust-Luga integrated gas project in the Leningrad region is set to be the biggest LNG plant in northwest Europe.
