- The TurkStream gas pipeline in service since January 2020 consists of two strings
According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on October 19, 2022, South Stream Transport B.V. has received the extension of the export license from authorities of the Netherlands, the TurkStream gas pipeline operator said on Wednesday.
"On Monday October 17, 2022, South Stream Transport B.V. was informed by the Dutch authorities that the export license had been renewed," the operator said.
"The export license relieves from the prohibitions of paragraphs 1 and 2, Article 3, of EU Regulation 833/2014 (as amended to include new sanctions restrictions)," the company noted. "These paragraphs prohibit to deliver goods and services, in particular technical assistance and maintenance, for use in Russia, including its Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf," it added.
The TurkStream gas pipeline in service since January 2020 consists of two strings. One of them is intended for gas supplies to consumers in Turkey and the other one to deliver gas to countries in South and Southeast Europe.
