ECB Group Paraguay has signed a biofuel supply contract with Shell Trading (US) Co.
ECB will supply Shell with more than 500 million liters/year of renewable diesel Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) and renewable jet fuel Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (SPK) to Shell.
The products will be produced in ECB’s upcoming Omega Green biorefinery in Paraguay, which would have a production capacity of 20,000 bpd of HVO, SPK, and green naphtha.
The contract is estimated to run from 2024.
For ECB, the contract establishes itself as the leading future producer of HVO and SAF in the southern hemisphere.
