AlwaysFree: Eco-Friendly Vivilen Comes To The Drinks Packaging Market

Author: SSESSMENTS

According to the company’s LinkedIn post on March 8, 2023, on 1 March, on the sidelines of the fourth annual Clean Country international forum and exhibition, SIBUR signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on sustainability with AB InBev Efes, the leading brewer in the Russian beer market. One of the key projects included in this agreement is the use of SIBUR’s Vivilen rPET granules, which contain up to 25% recycled plastic, to make bottles for AB InBev Efes’ drinks. The new bottles should hit store shelves as early as this spring.

We also plan to work together to promote environmental stewardship and put a spotlight on green packaging solutions, while further improving the collection and recycling of plastic waste.

The Vivilen bottles have already passed all industry scrutiny, including expert review of sanitary standards, laboratory tests and quality control on the bottling line. Packaging drinks in Vivilen bottles will divert around 1,500 to 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste from landfill each year.
