Evonik Industries AG plans to divest its Lülsdorf alkoxide manufacturing site in the south of Cologne, Germany.
The decision came following the regulatory phase-out of alkoxide production in Lülsdorf, which is yet to be formally concluded but not in line with Evonik’s focus on high-margin specialty chemicals.
Evonik plans to transfer the entire site to a new owner, although the sale of parts of the business to various interested parties will also be considered.
