According to some sources familiar with plant operations, ExxonMobil Corp.’s Baytown, Texas, refinery had restarted its hydrocracker on Tuesday.
Previously on Monday, a heavy thunderstorm caused a malfunction that shut the 25,000 bpd hydrocracker.
Exxon spokesman Jeremy Eikenberry declined to comment.
