On Thursday, Formosa Plastics Corp. USA announced that three contractors at its facility in Point Comfort, Texas, have tested positive for the coronavirus but none of the company’s own employees was affected.
Manufacturing operations still continue even after the facility was identified as critical infrastructure by the Department of Homeland Security. Supplies of all products have proceeded without interruptions.
The facility produces 1.2 mmtpa of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
