On September 9, a fire broke out in a chemical plant of Fushun Petrochemical Co. in Fushun, Liaoning, China.
The fire originated in the Detergent Chemical Plant of the facility, which is Asia’s biggest production base of surfactant raw materials.
Its production capacity is 200,000 tpa of linear alkylbenzene, 23,000 tpa of alkylbenzene for flooding, 5 tph of alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, and 50,000 tpa of synthetic fatty alcohol.
