Author: SSESSMENTS

  • Portuguese utility Galp has contracted to move 10,000m³/d of natural gas within Brazil via gas transport company TBG's Gasbol pipeline in 2023.

According to Argus Media article published on December 28, 2022, the deal — which should be completed on 30 December — is a part of a TBG tender for firm transportation capacity between 2023 and 2027.

This is Galp's first transportation contract in the Gasbol pipeline. The Portuguese company hired firm capacity in the EMED/GASCAR entry point.

State-controlled Petrobras and southern Rio Grande do Sul state natural gas distributor Sulgas also signed deals during the tender. Petrobras hired firm capacity in the EMED GASCAR and Corumba entry points and in the SP1 and SP2 exit points for 2023 and in the RS1 exit point for 2027. Sulgas also hired capacity for 2027 in the RS1 exit point.
