Official data showed on Wednesday that German exports to China were down 3.9% year-on-year to €8.4 billion ($9.9 billion) in July, marking the first fall in nearly a year. China has been Germany’s second-largest export market outside the European Union since August 2020. In contrast, exports to the United States expanded 15.3% to €10.8 billion ($12.7 billion), the data showed.
