According to the company’s website news release on October 12, 2022, responding to a change in market conditions, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. has resolved to start production at the nitrogen fertilizer, caprolactam and polyamide 6 units in Tarnów as of October 12th 2022.
Furthermore, the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy has made a decision to increase capacity utilisation and start up the Agro Segment’s process units used to make nitrogen fertilizers: PULAN®, PULAN® MACRO, SALETRZAK 27N, PULREA®, PULREA®+INu, RSM®, as of October 12th 2022.
Taking into account Grupa Azoty Puławy’s current production (Agro Segment: ammonium sulfate from the Flue Gas Desulfurisation Unit, non-fertilizer products excluding melamine), the process plant that will remain shut down at Grupa Azoty Puławy after the full start-up of the fertilizer production units will be the caprolactam unit (Plastics Segment) and the melamine unit (Agro Segment).
