On Saturday, a Hungarian company MOL said that it would join the Turkstream gas pipeline via Serbia.
The construction of a new 6 bcm gas interconnector between Serbia and Hungary was among the approved 10-year developed plan by the regulator.
TurkStream is comprised of two 930 km long offshore lines stretching from Russia to Turkey across the Black Sea, and two separate 142 km and 70 km onshore lines.
The total capacity of the project is 31.5bcm. The first line with 15.75 bcm capacity is designated for Turkey's domestic supplies, and the second line, with another 15.75 bcm capacity, transports Russian gas further to Europe via Bulgaria.
