Ineos has secured permits to drill two horizontal wells in the Austin Chalk shale formation in Texas. The company’s permit filings were on March 5 and April 24, as shown by records of Railroad Commission of Texas.
The permit is the first under Ineos’ own name and followed the company’s acquisition of hundreds of acres of Austin Chalk leases in 2019.
