On Monday, the biggest methanol producer in Iran, Zagros, shut its No.2 methanol unit on the back of technical problems. The closing of the 1.6 mtpa plant will go for 10 days.
Meanwhile, the company’s No.1 methanol plant of the same capacity will operate at 80%. Zagros’s nameplate methanol capacity is more than 3 mtpa.
