Iranian Investment Petrochemical Group (IIPG) CEO Rasoul Ashrafzadeh stated that the country’s petrochemical production capacity would be added by 107,000 tons after the four new projects are launched.
The four petrochemical projects will be launched in Iran’s less developed and disadvantaged areas. The total investment is USD103 million and will include methylamine in Sanqor, caustic soda flakes production plan in Mahshahr, crystal melamine production plan in Lordegan, and poly-aluminum chloride production plan in Urmia.
Upon completion, the projects will reduce imports of some petrochemical and chemical products, generate sustainable employment in less developed areas of the country, as well as developing diversified and strategic products.
