- Dialogue on other issues is also underway between the parties, particularly between agencies
According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on November 1, 2022, Iranian entrepreneurs are negotiating opportunities for cooperation with the Chechen business community, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in Grozny, adding that such contacts might stimulate the development of the Chechen Republic.
"Yesterday there was a meeting of Russian-Iranian business circles here, particularly with the participation of Chechen entrepreneurs," he said.
"I am confident that the results of our meeting will stimulate the development of the region of Chechnya. Contacts established by the business community with Iranian business circles will facilitate the development of this region of the Russian Federation," Novak added.
Dialogue on other issues is also underway between the parties, particularly between agencies, he noted, adding that there is an active exchange of business delegations between both sides.
"Our joint work is already producing tangible results. Despite the pressure of international sanctions on Russia and Iran, trade and economic cooperation between our countries is expanding," the key Russian official stressed.
