On Wednesday, Japan’s Eneos Corp. permanently closed its 115,000 bpd crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Osaka refinery, as planned.
Following the close, the company is shifting its joint venture with PetroChina Co to its Chiba refinery.
On a related note, Eneos also closed the 127,500 bpd CDU at its Wakayama refinery on September 27 for scheduled maintenance, planned to restart in early December. It also shut its 120,000 bpd No. 1 CDU at Negishi refinery on September 25, to resume operations in early November.
