Three Japanese companies will commence a joint feasibility study for producing and selling ethylene derivatives derived from bio-based raw materials (bio-derivatives).
The efforts taken by ENEOS Corp., Nippon Shokubai Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Corp. will be the first in Japan. The operations will begin in the fiscal year of 2024.
The companies are working to forge Japan’s first bio-derivatives supply chain, thereby better equipping them to contribute to the realization of a low-carbon and carbon-free society, and circular economy. It is also in line with the country’s aim to go carbon neutral by the year 2050.
