Kao Corp. has been participating in the Meguru Box Project which collects used plastics to be recycled in Kitakyushu City, Kyushu, Japan.

Kao entered the project on July 9.

The project is managed by the Kyushu Circular Economy Partnership (K-CEP), a corporate alliance aiming to establish a circular economy in Kyushu. It includes verification testing of a framework for promoting resource recovery through the effective utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) and promotes the material recycling of plastic bottles.

It provides boxes for collecting used plastic bottles and pouches in retail stores and public facilities in Kitakyushu City for residents to sort and collect the used plastic packaging.
