AlwaysFree: Libyan Oil Output Continued Rising

Author: SSESSMENTS

On Monday, an oil source said that Libyan oil output has continued rising as exports ramp up.

Due to the easing of the blockade, the country’s oil production rose by 20,000 bpd week-per-week to 290,000 bpd.

However, the damage sustained during the country’s oil shutdown would likely dampen the full export resumption. Exports from the Ras Lanuf and Es Sider oil terminals have not resumed yet, while the Zueitina port is facing technical difficulties in operations.

The Zueitina port is estimated to ship 3.8 million barrels in October and over the weekend, an oil tanker loaded with 600,000 barrels of crude left it for Italy on Sunday, for Austria’s OMV.

A subsidiary of Libya’s National Oil Co. (NOC), AGOCO, had stated that the operations at the Hamada oilfield would be resumed to pump to the 120,000 bpd Zawia oil refinery. AGOCO has also continued the operations at its 10,000 bpd Sarir oil refinery.
