On Wednesday, Natural Gas Pipeline Co of America (NGPL), a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan Inc. announced a force majeure event on the Sabine Pass delivery point in Louisiana as no transport services would be available following severe storms which damaged pipelines in the area.
Owner of the Sabine Pass LNG export plant, Cheniere Energy Inc., stated that the operations were not impacted by the pipeline event.
Some analysts said that flows through the NGPL Sabine Pass delivery point went to zero from around 0.6 bcfd in the past two weeks.
