Lubrizol Advanced Materials, a global specialty chemical leader and the market leader for CPVC, and Grasim Industries Ltd., a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, are cooperating to manufacture and supply chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) in India.
The plant is estimated to have a 100-ton CPVC plant production capacity and will be located in Vilayat, Gujarat. The project will be in two phases where the first is estimated to start operations in late 2022.
With this plant, Lubrizol would be the only company with end-to-end CPVC capability in India. The company is committed to the ongoing development of plumbers in India, while internationally, Lubrizol aims to further improve access to clean, safe drinking water.
