Russia’s energy company LUKOIL’s Stavrolen petrochemical plant has started to use electricity from LUKOIL’s own solar power plant (SPP).
The plant in Budennovsk, Stavropol region, Russia will use 11 million kWh of electricity per year from the SPP in LUKOIL’s Volgograd refinery.
Stavrolen will be able to slash its products’ carbon footprints by almost 5,000 tpa.
