LyondellBasell and SUEZ cooperate on the acquisition of Belgium’s TIVACO, a plastic recycling firm.
TIVACO will be part of both companies’ 50-50 joint venture (JV) Quality Circular Polymers (QCP), which will add QCP’s producing capacity of recycled materials to around 55,000 tpa. At the moment, QCP can process 22,000 tpa of recycled plastic.
QCP is hoped to support LyondellBasell’s production and market target of 2 million tpa of recycled and renewable source-based polymers by 2030, along with SUEZ’s goal of becoming the world leader in environmental services by 2030.
