Some sources familiar with plant operation said that Motiva Enterprises has restarted the operation of its 81,000 bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker (FCC) on its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Thursday.
Other than that, Motiva also concluded a catalyst change on the 105,000-bpd hydrocracker on Wednesday.
Previously on Monday, the FCC was put into circulation due to a leak developed from a nozzle on the unit’s fractionator.
Separately, energy industry intelligence service Genscape stated that there were flaring at the hydrocracker on June 5, signaling a work in progress on the unit.
